Why students prefer the Web to the library
A
May 13 post to LISNews, a collaborative weblog devoted to current
events and news in the world of library and information science, links
to an article in the MinneapolisSt. Paul Star Tribune, which
lists these reasons students dont like using libraries:
-
Everything worth knowing is on the Internet.
-
The Target mentality: Its like running into Target
and getting it and going.
-
Libraries are boring.
-
Fear: There's a lot of library anxiety out there. It takes
getting used to.
