If used in chat, a URL in this list will appear as a link in the patron's transcript. QuestionPoint does not try to display the URL's page in the patron's Viewport. If the patron clicks the link, the page opens in a separate window so the patron's session is not disrupted.

If a framebusting URL not in this list is used in chat, a message asks if the patron wants to go to another page. If the patron agrees, he or she leaves the chat window and may not return to the session. (A framebusting URL identifies a page that will not open within a frame in another page. The Viewport is a frame in the chat window.)

You can test a page to see if it will burst the frame by using this test page at W3Schools. On this page you will see a text box with HTML code in it.

Change the line that reads "frame id="rightFrame" src="frame_a.htm" by adding your URL (with HTTP:// or HTTPS:// between the quotes for scr. Example: "frame id="rightFrame" src="http://www.oclc.org"

Then click "Edit the text and click me". If the page you enter takes over the browser (that is, it is the only web page you see in your browser window) after you click the button, then you have a framebuster.

Please report framebusting URLs that you discover so we can add them to this list to the QuestionPoint support team by emailing the URL of the page to support@oclc.org.
